1️⃣dissolve our union【
于是，引申为 to formally end a parliament, business arrangement, marriage etc 「解除」商务安排、婚姻关系等。
Their marriage was dissolved in 1999.
2️⃣affair【
因此「有外遇」的英文是 have an affair with sb。另外，我们也可以说cheat on sb, betray sb, be unfaithful to sb 来表示在恋爱、婚姻中「背叛某人」。
3️⃣refute【
因此 refute rumours of an affair 是指「反驳婚外情谣言」。
4️⃣call it quits
这是一个固定短语，表示 to stop doing something or being involved in something「决定结束，就此了结」。
You can decide whether there is hope in working for mutual happiness, or if you should call it quits.
